Brought this wine up with us to the famed Viking Yurt in Park City. It was a nice, warming wine despite exhibiting a bit of the thinness that comes with many a Pinot. Also paired with butternut squash soup and you know that worked.

Not a rosé, just a massive, balls-out big red that takes no fucking prisoners. 2001 vintage was decanted into something that looked like a Viking sex toy and I was into it. Brilliant wine, a real treat, from La Cave Se Rebiffe in Dijon. It's french, bitches; look that shit up. — 9 years ago

A great representation of this northernmost aspect of of southern Rhone showing flowers, graphite and spices complimenting a mouthful of cherries unctuously drifting from one's lips to the throat before free falling home (sea, air & land; in my blood/hooyah!)... Our second Viking Yurt wine. This Syrah blend was big and robust and exactly what you wanted to drink on a cold mountain in conjunction with short rib and dessert. I think with a few more years it could've developed some serious complexity.
