Enticing notes of dry red fruits on the nose and mouth, delicate, outstandingly silky and nearly perfect balance!

Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruit, earthy and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and tart cherry flavors, with vanilla, licorice, citrus and herb spice. From a pristine bottle - cork did its job, but was on the softer side and fell apart after extraction. This leans very herbal with notes of green pepper and green tobacco immediately perceptible on the nose. After that there are notes of earth. There was little to no perceptible fruit left at this stage, but it was a lovely, silk like experience and texture in the mouth with tertiary flavors such as leather, cedar, and some spice. This seemed like it was perhaps on the very early part of its downhill and was beginning to come apart, but should still have another few years left in the tank from properly stored bottles — 4 months ago

Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.
