Madiran Tannat 2017

I’m trying more French wines to expand my knowledge. I had no idea what this was when I bought it. I guess it’s not often you find a 100% Tannat 🤷‍♀️ it’s usually blended to tone down the acidity and tannins. I don’t find it too tannic but it is quite acidic but not intolerable. Nice black fruit on the palate as it describes, oakiness on the nose and a very nice dark garnet color. Sitting out by the pool on this very pleasant Florida evening with a steak on the grill. Cheers! 🍷🥩 — 4 years ago

There are exciting Madiran. If one day you find any, I invite you to test Chateau-Montus, or Bouscassé which are references, at affordable prices.
