Meursault- Perrières 1er Cru Chardonnay 2004

This is fantastic. Light and precise and pretty at first. Some hints of hold but a gorgeously lifted subtle palate. A whiff of mint, stone, oyster shells and a hint of warm lemon notes. Beautifully balanced and precise- makes you lean in to feel it — 10 months ago

Le Tesson Meursault Chardonnay 2007

2007. Great. Reductive class. Cellartracker suggests this is at the limit of its drinking window. I would beg to differ. Just starting to get interesting, in my view. — 7 years ago

Meursault - Charmes 1er Cru Chardonnay

quintessential Meursault, still taut and very refined, loads of lemon and lemon zest, nuts, and minerals. Detonated on the palate with a finish that seems to last forever. Great wine. Much better than the oxidized half bottle of 96 Dauvissat Forest I opened first and couldn't drink. I don't assign numerical ratings though this site insists. — 9 years ago

Meursault Chardonnay 2017

Ente and Coche are just simply in a league of their own in Meursault, and the 2017 vintage is killer tonight from the very first pour, wafting from the glass with deep layers of yellow orchard fruit, hazelnut, pastry cream and exotic spice. It is its texture that really stands out to me. Elegant and ever so satiny with racy acids and tremendous drive that carries all its flavors home with a mineral and saline laced finale. — 10 months ago

Sous le Dos d'Âne Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

Full bodied, wood still not integrated almost Californian in style. Way too early. Would never have identified this as a meursault blind. — 5 years ago

gorgeous soft lemon oil and chalkiness. Quite intense and with a real minerality and white pepper. Very pretty fruit but quite angular and will develop a long way from here. — 9 months ago

Golden in color. Very seamless with a sweet honeyed cote and lovely balance and purity. Long and seamless. Clearly aged, but aged very well — 10 months ago

La Genelotte Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 2013

Lemon, flowers, seashells on the nose. Beautiful palate of lemons, lime, a touch of oak/bread, honey, salinity, lingers for many minutes. Drinking very well with an hour or so of air. — 6 years ago

Les Grands Charrons Meursault Chardonnay 2008

The palate is full of lively verve. Lemon lime high acidity. What seemed at first to be notes of hazelnut actually blew off. In fact I mistook these notes. The wine seems to be rather reduced. Color is light gold/dark lemon. Went well with roast pork. — 9 years ago
