Aérien, volatile, élégant, m'aurait fait penser au Clos des Lambrays sur le même millésime — 12 years ago
These Cameron clos electrique rouge just keep getting better. This is better than the 15 or 12 at a similar stage imo. An absolutely pitch perfect btl of young PN. On the nose, soft funky reduction that disappears with air, pure wild strawberry, perfume, earthy spice. On the palate, amazing acidity, wild strawberry, spice, earth. But this is so enveloping, the extract is off the charts, but only 12.4% abv, it can't be! Soft, finely grained tannin on the finish. This is one of the best wines I have had this year, on par with and perhaps better than the 11 Lambrays from January. — 6 years ago
Magnum 1998 Cheval Blanc. Third red for dinner at the house w B&K K, J&L B, and M&R H and BP. Awesome! So much fun to try this Bordeaux after the 2002 Domaine des Lambrays burgundy. This wine felt young, even though older than the Lambrays. A bit tight at first, despite decanting a few hours. Fun contrast of round vegetal and green noted, stronger tannins. Such a treat. Probably the fave of the night. — 10 years ago
The 2nd of 4 Grand Crus from Morey Saint Denis. Colour of deep Ruby - darker than the Lambrays. Quite a rich palate of M+ intensity. Great mouthfeel. At this point I wrote in my notes “ getting to the point of sensory overload. Let me tell you that 2016 is a great vintage for Red Burgundy “. A wonderful Clos de la Roche”. Worth purchasing as it is always better value than the Ponsot Clos de la Roche. — 6 years ago

Remarkably intense flowery strawberry nose with little reflection of its age. Rich infused sweet tea flavors and gorgeous fruit that remains strong through the finish. — 9 years ago
Big, impressive, seems a little simple next to the Clos des Lambrays but damn good — 11 years ago
dopo Lambrays non vuoi bere Tarte ??? Sempre magnum ma millesimo 1997 ... veramente buono ... serio e terroso ma fine ed elegante ! — 13 years ago
Aravind A
Pop and pour. Wow. On the nose: a touch of struck match, dense lemon, lemon oil, wet stone, filigreed fruit on minerality. So delicate, but simulateously powerful. Lovely density, crushed rock, lemon oil, fantastic acidity and a long finish. Fantastic, but so young. Sad this is no longer a monopole...doubt I will ever be able to afford the Lambrays version. — 4 years ago
