Nose: rich flavours: red pepper, violets. Great freshness. Red and black fruit (black and red berries), bit of garigue, juniper, time.
Palate: silky and smoothy, although still young style. Good lightness and acidity, red fruit – elegance and finesse of an higher altitude.

Mas Amiel Pur Schiste bio - Côtes du Roussion 2018
Strawberry jam, blackberry, black pepper, garrigue, licorice. What a nose for such a low price wine! The palate is well balanced with strong acids, a bright fruit with blackberry mostly, some width, some nice tannins with a grain, and a lot of freshness and fruit on the finish which lasts for ever. This is seriously good for the price tag (less than 10 €) — 5 years ago
This was so great a perfect match to the sticky sweet birthday cake. Not as sweet as a port but similar deep flavors, plus herbal notes — 7 years ago
At its best, I’ve always found Grenache has the ability to achieve an elegance and purity matched by few other Mediterranean grapes. This Maury Sec accomplishes just that - a wine with a cooling berry flavor of length and transparency. Heady, with subtle blue notes and a piney, fresh garden herbaceousness - it captivates with its tranquil breadth and high-toned finish. 80% Grenache, 20% Carignan. — 7 years ago
Exotic and potent, with a label that would make Gianni Versace proud. Opens with a peculiar and foreign attitude, but offers a bouquet of wildflowers encased in red licorice, and wears newly stitched racing jacket. Certainly polished, but there’s no mistaking where this is from... the red dirt bursts from the glass. — 8 years ago
Lovely & robust, berries & plum, power & fine acidity, 14.5% & elegant. Great Rousillon, now at it's peak 😊 — 8 years ago
Oxidised wine. Spends one year in demijohns in the sun, and then goes to large old oak casks.
Nose: Great subtlety here, very gentle, black berries, cherry liquor, dried figs
Palate: very gentle and delicate, very very soft tannins, very subtle and coalesced aromas, almost seem not alcoholic; interesting aftertaste of cherries with cane sugar and caramel.

Oxidised wine. Spends one year in demijohns in the sun, and then goes to large old oak casks.
Nose: not as smoky as the previous one, more fruity and subtle. More complexity here, figs, peppemint.
Palate: Very gentle and smooth tannins, sweeter than the previous one, very good acidity, good balance of all components, much more complex, bit more sugary, cane sugar

I love 100% Syrah Pet Nat, local and global.
Fruit is leaner and more rocky than my local Syrah Pet Nat (France vs. Santa Cruz CA - Left Bend Winery) Nice strawberry notes, along with slight yeast note. 12.5% ABV
More, please!
