No. 3 in the Vosne Romanee Grand Cru lineup. My blind tasting notes - “Concentrated Latent and Long. A huge future - amazing potential. I think DRC - La Tache?” The latter assumption proving to be wrong as that was Wine No. 1. Nevertheless the quality of the 2015 Grand Crus from Vosne Romanee are beyond question. Buy as many as you can afford. — 6 years ago
No. 5 in the Vosne Romanee bracket. My notes said “This is La Tache “ which proved to be wrong. All tasted blind to reiterate. Intoxicating aromas of florals red fruit and a hint of sandalwood. Similar energy on the palate but medium weight with some austerity at the finish. Not as full bodied as some DRC Richebourgs I have had. JH said “effortless complexity “. — 7 years ago
2000 DRC Bâtard Montrachet. Most exquisite white ever tasted. Extraordinary 2 minute finish. — 10 years ago
High mineral, lot of lingering flavor — 10 years ago
A very intriguing wine. Not the polish of the DRC GE 04 from last night but impressive in its own right. — 11 years ago
Old romanee conti, vandermeulen bottling — 12 years ago
No. 2 in the Vosne Romanee Grand Cru bracket. Tasted blind. My brief note (sensory overload has set in again!): A perfumed woody smokiness - sweet and gorgeous with a beautiful texture and mouthfeel. “ With Romanee Conti to its eastern boundary it is similar but slightly different. Les Richebourgs to its northern boundary. La Romanee is a Monopole owned by the Liger-Belair family and is the smallest appellation in France at. 0.8452 hectares producing only 250 to 350 cases each vintage. A wonderful wine with at least 2 decades of cellaring before it reaches its peak. — 5 years ago
Functional Brûlée’s from a decanter. Enjoyable. But on a night with DRC and Meo and also@lacking the age was a tough situation — 7 years ago
A lovely precise nose. Real clarity, with red and blue fruit, salinity, gnarly blue tang. Stems and a btightbherbaceius note. Very pure, lifted and focused. Thought it was drc. This is beautiful — 8 years ago
2008 Vosne-Romanee. This wine was pretty but not gorgeous. First sip was still all primary fruit but the mid palate lacked depth and the acidity was out of balance. The wine comes from Vosne not 200 yards from DRC, but as we know, in Burgundy terroir is everything. I'd have this again but I wouldn't search for it. — 8 years ago
Spectacular...equal to the same vintage Petrus and Romanee Conti DRC — 9 years ago
High toned red fruit, some VA and lots of acidity. We decanted it to let it soften up a bit. Second time to drink Thévenet this month. Maximum drinking pleasure! His VV cuvée comes from a parcel with 70+ year old vynes and is aged in old oak barrels (that first belonged to Domaine Romanée-Conti), after a 'cool' (not cold) macération carbonique. — 10 years ago

Off the charts an amazing tasting experience for me. Check out the shipper stamp in the bottom left. This producer no longer exists, DRC bought them out in the 60s.
As for the wine, a beauty she was with haunting and funky notes of dried red fruits, forest floor, savory and mushroom. The palate was plenty live, the mid palate and finish gained weight and depth with an hour of air and the neck cracked. Elegant and silky tannins carried the wine to a pretty and persistent finish. #vosne #romanéestvivant #grandcru #1970 #leroy #drc — 10 years ago
— 11 years ago
Lucky enough to have this bottle passed my way at RN74 in Seattle one fine evening. Unbelievably well preserved. First impression is smoke and oakiness. Cheers to those who shared it with us! — 7 years ago
This wine needed not time in the glass. A little chocolate, and a hint of violets. I thought someone's perfume just ruined my glass. But no, it was the wine. Amazing to drink this, wow! Glad it survived the occupation. — 8 years ago
Pre DRC prestige — 10 years ago
Absolutely stunning. Fruit is ripe yet balanced. Acidity is perfect. They get their barrels from Château d’Yquem, Beauséjour Bécot, and Domaine de la Romanée Conti. — 11 years ago

Deep tawny color. Almost opaque. Exotic nose. Notes of raspberries, Asian spice, black pepper and a little bit of stem. Rich and fruit forward in the mouth. Got better and better with air; in hour 7 you’d be guessing blind this is DRC. — 5 years ago
