Nice and dark, the Fleurie Beaujolais looks like the serious wine that it is. Aromas of violet's and strawberries are joined by pepper and cardamom. The palate offers a zesty acidity and a fruity flavor profile, with enough minerality to justify that dark color. The wine is perfect for meat dishes, tomato sauces or grilled vegetables. — 8 years ago

2012 vintage. Leafy stemmy stalky notes. Earthy fresh berry flavours with beetroot nuances. Soft tannins and a thoroughly delicious Gamay. Tasted again on 15 October 2016 with similar notes but also confectionery aromas and white pepper on nose and palate. Refreshing. — 8 years ago
