Raveneau study! Nose was floral and saline, with intense lemon and pear notes, touched gently by wood. Crystalline, focused, and more concentrated than the 13' Foret on the palate, Raveneau's MdT is always so solid in their line-up. Long and mineral finish. Still hiding some depth as it got better with air, so will definitely benefit with more cellaring. — 6 years ago

The 2017 Chablis La Foret 1er Cru is a super-expressive, weightless wine that captures the essence of what makes Chablis so special, and that is the ability to deliver incredible flavor intensity without excess weight. The 2017 needs a bit of time in bottle to come together, as the oak is not fully assimilated just yet. Even so, the 2017 is incredibly vivid and precise. What a wine!
