Very tropical for a Savennieres, quite atypical. Good acidity though. Coulée 90 much better. — 11 years ago

So good with this lemon meringue cake — 10 years ago
Described as a oxidized wine, and it definitely was. But had nice tart & dried fruit. — 10 years ago
Had a 97 Coulee Serrant earlier this year that ended up being so close to this in a holistic sense; that inescapable electricity on the palette and such a complex nose that could easily be mistaken for a shy nature of unripe fruit. It’s obvious why this is a premier Cru monopole that gets its own cute little label design in such a large wine-making house as Drouhin. Truly a special plot firing like proper vinifera nerve endings on planet earth should. Some may think this is subtle. This takes space and depth as the taster to allow this to sink deeply.👌🏼 thanks Wally wine for redeeming itself on this and Bachelet 05 aligote. These two whites have been some of the highlights of my recent wine experiences. — 8 years ago
Yummy yummy. Floored. Can't believe this is Chenin. — 8 years ago
Sauvenière. Just as intense and driven as Joly's Coulée. Perhaps a touch more fresh fruit, and less minerality. — 10 years ago
Very dry but fruity — 10 years ago
Nicolas Joly that many years back was stopped a career in finance, has been enhancing the image of Loire and Chenin based wines - undoubtedly La Coulée de Serrant produces some of the best wine in the world - today again a lovely wine lingering flavors and appealing acidity - note that his wines prefer to be in a real wine cellar (no electric) to rest and mature, they will age better and last longer 😋 better carafe a while before serving also the wine needs to breath — 11 years ago

Late harvest chenin blanc, smells like motor oil and the taste is honey and florals, wonderful and complex. — 7 years ago
