'85 Pothier-Rieusset stunning nose of ripe Pinot Noir medium body with rich flavors of berries and earth. Still quite youthful and giving huge quantities of PN fills the nostrils. Virgil Pothier was a fine man and wine maker. — 9 years ago

Des notes de réglisse, de fruits rouges et d'épices au nez. En bouche, la rondeur et la structure tannique est remarquable. Les fruits rouges macérés dans l'alcool sont très présents. Quel excellent vin ! Débouché sans doute au meilleur moment ! — 9 years ago
Amazing. Complex entry, medium to soft middle and the most amazing lemon, citrus and curd end. Almost like a delightful lemon chiffone or key lime. — 9 years ago

Boy o boy. Must try as part of a Pinot experience. Old world.
Appearance: rich purple red. Very youthful compared to other 93's openend. Colour much closer to much much younger pinots. Surprising. No brick yet
Nose: floral, berries, intense, nicr
Taste: woodsy, forest, cherry, rasberries, definitely french. Great structure and balance, nice tannins. Great with food and explore
Finish: subtle, balanced and stays with you. Acfentuates food. Fantastic pairing wine.
Overall: surprised and impressed. Great premier cru. Purchased for $160 in 2015. Great drinking 1993.
Drink: now or wait a couple
Food: Yes. Mushroom risotto, coq au vin, polenta and morels, steak. Smorgasboard and try with different things.
