A stunning wine. Just stunning. In the red fruited elegant yet deep and velvety style of a great St. Epine. Deep nose or plush red and black berries, mashed flowers, crushed granite and loads of spice. Terrifically complex nose. Palate just has the purest sweetest fruit you can imagine. That classic Habrard purity and explosiveness. So deep sappy yet beguilingly fresh and dense. A drop dead St. Jospeh. Such power and concentration knit in velvet. Beautiful tannins. — 7 years ago
12 st joseph: xlnt intensity, touch more red and a bit less Black than the St joseph tasted alongside. Very correct exuberant aroma of white pepper, black Olive and a slight touch of herb in the background. Excellent attack on entry, really quite intense and powerful, delicious middle palate, long flavoursome finish . Excellent — 11 years ago
This is so delicious. Serious, muscular with loads of elegance and length for its youth. So textural and rich without any heaviness, beautifully balanced acidity and oak treatment. Ripe apricot, peach, green pineapple, vanilla, cinnamon, cream, anise, river stones, green almond, yellow flowers, honey. Very expressive nose and palate. Can sense the elevation of St Epine in its freshness and concentration. I could see this going the long haul no problem. — 6 years ago
Man oh man. This is fantastic. Slightly less than average rich northern Rhône white. Which is good. It’s under control. Awesome awesome awesome concentration. Crazy depth. Mineral. Lemon rind. Hint of spice. Palate coating like an a bomb. Finish is sick. Just sick. Man I love this. Should be bonkers ina couple of years. If you want it now a decant would be optimal. Bought from Fass Selections.
Ok this is getting better and better. If you have this only drink it when you can focus. Do not share with non wine people. It’s insane. Just a great wine. Too bad I won’t live to see another Rhône vintage of the century. — 8 years ago

Not sure what Delectable is doing, but the name of this wine is “Chevalier de Lafoux Sainte Anne.” Pale salmon color, typical of the genre. Shy nose of pear and ripe melon. Echoed on the medium light palate as Bosc and cantaloupe. Medium acidity as expected in the classic (current) Provençal style, and a surprisingly long finish. Winemaker Régine Sumiere’s classic Côte is a great sipper, but will also hold its own with a variety of “zingy” foods. I’m enjoying with grilled salmon. Salade Niçoise is a natural pair. — 6 years ago
Mineral and airy. Structured and ripe. Touch of oak tannin but so pure. Excellent. — 11 years ago
