Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC)

La Tâche Pinot Noir 1990

Oenomaniacs don't have pearly gates, we have Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache 1990. Outrageously sexy, with a celestial perfume of asian spices and underbrush and dried cherry. Eternal finish that tattoos itself on your tongue and palate. Medium to full-bodied, with startling freshness and grip for a quarter-centurion. La Tache 1990 will enthrall for another 30 to 50 years.

2000: 15 year old CD-R villages tasting tasty. Dark and heady, black fruit, figs, raisins, chocolate, leather, meaty, some aniseed notes. Softened, no grip or acidity. Ready and open but complex, in the dried fruit spectrum, rum & raisin. — 10 years ago

Clos Rognet Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Very thick and solid wine. A lot of structure and depth. Great presence. Since it does not finish strong, it is good time to drink it. Remind me of 1990 cros paratoux in the beginning. — 11 years ago
