This forty eight year old Clair-Dau the precursor of Bruno Clair. The last vintage made by Joseph Clair Bruno’s Grandfather. Exquisite, transcendent yet with power and grace. 1971 Vintage — 5 years ago

Thought by RC to be dead but really excellent. Probably fruit forward in youth but now nicely resolved and full of earthy secondary notes of dark fruits and minerals and earth. Long finish and fragrant nose of ripe fruits. Gerhard Revere dinner 8/21/26. — 8 years ago

Not a 1er Cru, but it should be! Lovely Vosne. Velvet, sappy cherry fruit with Vosne spice. Hints of vanilla and stones. A whiff of oak char on the nose, but less so on the palate. Decanted for 2 hours prior to consumption. — 3 years ago
Excellent mature Burg of earth, ripe black fruits and a complex weighty yet stimulating and silky lithe texture carrying through to finish. Went well with the of best Mary fusion glass noodle chapchei with mackerel fish and hints at its broad utility. Aged well. 3 bottles bought in ‘05, GL32, hopefully have one more. — 4 years ago
