Minervois Syrah Carignan 2017

Deep purple in color; plums, blueberries, and cigar box on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like blackberry jam, plum sauce, and graphite with a medium finish. Nellie likes it. I like it too. I'd like the fruit to hang out a little longer on the pallet, but it's very good. — 7 months ago

Juliénas Pur Ju... Gamay 2019

This the ...100% not the pur ju but idk if there was a name change and it’s still the same bottling. Twiggy and crisp, pomegranate and cranberry leaf the way. Put your Patagonia on for this one. But a fine bevvy — 3 years ago

Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir 2003

From Premeaux-Prissy, across the street from Nuits-Saint-Georges. Nose: earth, cherry, full-throttled berry. Palette: berry-flavored, elegant, long but acidic finish. Punches way above its price point. A great value. — 4 years ago

Strawberry and reminds you how close Beaujolais is to the Rhône and yes his 14s and 16s are better (by far) but this warmed me up — 6 years ago

Grand Terroir Tautavel Grenache Blend 2013

Beautiful deep purple color. Plush aromas of sour cherries, plum and kirsch with just a whiff of alcohol pushing through. Juicy and vibrant on the palate with fresh acidity and fine tannins. Flavors of cherry and blackberries lead to vibrant, focused acidity. The finish is lead by notes of blueberry and kirsch followed by graphite and a floral note that lingers for 30 seconds or more. Delicious! — 7 years ago
