Such a consistently fun wine. Not a powerhouse by any stretch of the imagination but it’s generous in character and authenticity. The nose is all fresh crushed raspberries and dusty underbrush. Raspberries and hints of espresso on the palate. Awesome QPR. Drink now. — 8 years ago
Lots of cherries. Spices, chocolate and some herbs. Sweet tannins in a very good wine. Muita cereja madura, com especiarias, chocolate e um toque herbal. Taninos bem redondos em um belo vinho. — 9 years ago

2012, Clos des Vignes du Maynes, Cuvee Auguste Bourgogne, Pinot Noir. A very good Bourgogne: tart red fruit, forest floor, wet dirt, acid. Another excellent wine from Julien Guillot. — 10 years ago
Blackberries, chewy tannins, anise. Great wine but when paired with cassoulet in southwest France it was excellent. #languedoc #languedocday #toulouse — 10 years ago
Wendie had this at French Louie in Brooklyn. Not too spicy and sweet but not too dry. — 10 years ago

Lovely fragrant Chambolle. Prominent acidic backbone initially but softened with aeration. Perfumed and seductive, classic style. You can keep new world fruit bombs, this is class. — 9 years ago
Paired with homemade mushroom soup and pieorgies!

Dark purple opaque colour. High dark fruit intensity with roasted coffee, dark choko and toast in the nose. Complex but refined pallate with similar to nose aromas, firm tannins and ripe & jammy dark fruit, violet, coffee finish. 89p 2011 - the only served at Noble dinner 2013. Total prod. ~ 20 k bottles. — 11 years ago

One of the first vintages after Romain Lignier's passing. Black plum and cherry, and sous bois notes. Elegant structure and acidity; will continue to drink for another 10 years. — 10 years ago
Strawberry, raspberry, tar, coffee and sour cherry. Smooth and light mouth feel. Great value I expect it to be in my collection of go-tos. — 10 years ago

Deep, rich and enveloped within a delicate creaminess here is a Northern Rhône white that deserves its praise. The fruit is soft and doesn’t overlay the mineral component. I really like this one. — 7 years ago
