Loved this Super Tuscan Red Blend. 70% Cabernet and 30% Sangiovese. Licorice, cassis and cherry with a nice finish. — 8 years ago
While this does feature an almost heavy handed application of oak, it's from a time before the plastic surgery/fidget spinner/Mega Purple added/residual sugar high that is Caymus today. Pungent and filled with creamy red earth, tobacco, roasting coffee beans, cedar, dried cherry, and juicy plum. — 8 years ago
Transparent, elegant, dry, no mega purple in this baby — 9 years ago

2014: Mega-minerality mixed with an apple/peach slurpee! Chablis meets NZ? — 10 years ago
A bit too "sage" for its young age. — 10 years ago
smooth, complex, & fun. Nice floral notes; not over-malty. Well done boys! — 10 years ago
yup.....elegant, mega food friendly, balanced - really pretty, likable pinot - how could you not like it? :) — 11 years ago
The nose on this is gorgeous. Like sticking my nose deep in a basket of fresh flowers. The wine is soft and juicy. Highlight from raw wine fair. When can get this, it will for sure be mega value. — 7 years ago
Dieser Wein ist sowas von Mega! Blaufränkisch at it's best! Er vibriert, hat Trinkfluss, Tiefe, Länge, Frucht, geniale Tannine, Mineralität, ist spannend und filigran. Das geht fast nicht besser, nur anders. Unbedingt probieren!!! — 8 years ago
Hat der sich entwickelt. Mega!

Huge nose. 80 year old vines average age. Mega menthol, leafy, tree, resin, pine, spice, flowers. Absurd depth. Rich, grapey yet structured. It has energy but it wound up and can be so much more expressive. Very mineral.
Day 2 - beefy meaty nose. Floral. Darker. Vigorous. Animal. Forests. Terrific purity and depth. Unreal balance and acidity. Just so fresh and vivid. Black cherry. Sappy. So complex. Echoes. Incredible. — 9 years ago
great bang had it would not been for the retail restaurant mega mark up — 10 years ago
#2 on night, despite the mega 16.2% alcohol... Nose was awesome, intensely spicy, peppery, floral and sweet-fruited. Violets and pepper laden with caramel cherry and blackberry jam! Obviously quite hot on palate, spicy and fruity, but nowhere near the caliber of the nose. Still, I could just smell it all night... — 10 years ago
At Jamie's Italian... Mega! Fruity with a dark edge, not heavy — 11 years ago
Super mega delicious! RPM 2011 Gamay — 12 years ago
This is the mocha Frappuccino of wine! So sweet with a mocha finish.
At first, this is quite nice but the sweetness is cloying. Feels very manufactured. Left me avec headache the next day.
I’m willing to bet this has a hefty dose of Mega Purple. Some claim that MP has a “distinctive” taste. I bet this would be a 97 point example of that.
Sorry @Rob Brobst III - not my thing. @David T would love your thoughts on this one! — 7 years ago
Good Zinfandel, smooth, strong but not to much, at the end a bit spice - good one!
Great price performance ratio and a gorgeous label design — 9 years ago
Powerfully crafted, this 'Mega' Syrah from Paso Robles shows a muscular palate and complex texture. Probably still too youthful for a proper assessment but yet intriguing and very magnetic. Can drink now or keep for at least 20 years due to it natural acidity and concentration — 9 years ago
Interesting. Like a Port but unlike any Port I've had. Chocolate but also a hint of dried apricot and maybe even mint and clove. Bouquet if rosemary and oregano, really. — 9 years ago
Mega yum! Chocolate covered cherries with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Not too fruity but juicy. — 11 years ago

After trying the Painted Rock Cab Franc, had to try another wine from the vineyard and naturally gravitated to the Syrah. Smells musky, herbaceous with mega spice. Taste; right off the bat, heavy, dominant peppery spice with mild cloves and black liquorice. At the beginning there is some dark cherry and stewed plums that is short lived. The spice dominates all phases of the wine. Finish ends somewhat abruptly. Required about 30-45 min to fully develop. I still prefer the Laughing Stock Syrah but this is right up there. Overall, great wine! — 6 years ago
