Drinking an excellent Sangiovese while eating good pizza is Tuscany la dolce vita. Good acidity, tobacco, dried cherry. I liked the 2004 just a bit better, though this is still a top shelf wine. The wine is actually too good for pizza but what the heck. — 10 years ago

Terso, pulito rosso granato. Olfatto perfetto di fiori e frutta essiccati . Rosa e viola.Profumo avvolgente. Cioccolato , Mon Cheri , tabacco dolce. Teso in bocca a soddisfare il palato, fresco , di tannini maschi ( dolci e potenti).. Lungo nel finale.. Comme il faut!

AJ 92/100 - Rheingau, poco più a sud della Mosella, vini di carattere e forza maggiore, colore giallo paglierino, naso intenso di frutta dolce, note tropicali, fiori bianchi, un po di agrume e di balsamico, rimanendo nel bicchiere fa uscire crostata e note di pasticceria, in bocca riempie subito con un grande corpo e grande acidità, grande corrispondenza con il naso, finale lunghissimo. Not much on the nose, but this is a very nice white. 80% chard gives it boday and lit oak. 20% Favorita lightens it up to remind me of a heavy pinot grogio. Great with or without food. Yum!
