Rioja Tempranillo 2013
Something different tonight, Karen and I decided on a Excellent Rioja from Spain. Tobelos 2013, which is 100% Tempranillo. Opened 30 minutes ahead. First impression Rioja had a Great Mouthfeel with loads of black fruits and a touch of spice box. The tannin here are mild and in perfect balance with the fruit. Also on back palate a little wood. Enjoyed with Cobb Salad with a white Balsamic dressing. Wine purchased at WineWorks and salad at HoneyGrow in our center. Bravo to this winery! CB-95 Rating in my book! Awesome New Chard for me. Tried a couple weeks ago at Lincoln Center NYC hosted by Martin Scott Wine Group. Tropical fruit , rich and creamy. Loaded with just a touch of oak. WOW serious juice here. This2014 Sonoma Blend. This red is rock solid as the last Red Blend they made in 2013. Parker's Review gave it a97!!! Well I step up here and give this 98!!!!!! Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Jumped the gun tonight, just bought my 1st bottle YUP of Caymus 2014 Napa Cab Sauv! Why had to try it. See my picture above, we decanted it to a Water Pitcher for maximum breathing. Waited 30 minutes and gave the sniff test. Nose of jammy black fruits. Trying my first sip, still a little hot. Waited an tried again, sweet vanilla oak on palate, good acid on tongue (yep), starting to open. Nicely balanced with soft tannin structure, rich fruit. Needs a good 2-3 hours next time! I give this a solid 95! Why? It reminds me of the 2012. The 2013 needed 6 hours and was still tight. 2012 vs 2014 very close in all the above statements. Bravo. Paid 64.98 plus tax at WineWorks in Marlton NJ Tonight. Yes I know I had to experience this with family right away. CB 95.. Let me know your thoughts. PS: needs to be served at 55-60 degrees in temperature. Really Good!! — 9 years ago

Pinot Noir Shootout after a long week in Wine Bizz at where @WineWorks Marlton. Well Roar vs Roar! Both 2014! Rosella vs Pisoni! See pics.. Rosellas comes across with 15-20 minutes nice plum, tart cherry a little restrained, Yup! Probably young but O Well! After 1 Hour really opens up! Great mouth feel, good acidity really opening up!
