La dime Sauvignon blanc AOC geneve. Dry, crisp, lightly bitter. — 11 years ago
Fleshy, meaty, funky with dark fruit and smoke. Always a pleasure and $13.79 @ dime bag. — 12 years ago
Oh my goodness, this is lovely. At twelve dollars, it was worth every dime and more. Love this. — 13 years ago
Tasty, great for a dime. — 8 years ago
Far to many better options at a fraction of the cost, only on someone else's dime. — 9 years ago
Still great white burgundy on a dime but 2012 and 2013 were superior. — 10 years ago
Dark fruit and raisin nose. The taste follows through on the promise. Properly sweet for un porto, but the richness of the fruit keep it safely away from the cloying territory. Worth every paltry dime, but has a touch of bite which reminds you, "I'm a Tawny, not an LBV. But I'm still pretty dark-fruit delightful." — 10 years ago
I have to go with the Pros, this really is a nice smooth wine (if you like dry like me). I'd recommend for sure to ones also like to save a dime. I'll be buying this one again. Enjoyable — 10 years ago
Roasted leather notes dazzle the tongue as star anise tickles the taste buds. "It's fine, but wouldn't buy it on my own dime." — 10 years ago
Not gonna lie, I bought this because I loved the bottle & the name. I was a little disheartened when I read the bad ratings, but was very pleasantly surprised when I tasted it. This IS NOT your standard everyday Chardonnay, if that's what you're looking for move on, you won't like it. If you are adventurous & looking for a new Chardonnay experience, It is fun, quirky, and different. It's super full bodied & the vanilla taste almost reminds me of cream soda in a not so sweet way. I really loved it & if I'm looking for something fun & unique I will definitely buy it again. In my opinion run of the mill Chardonnays are a dime a dozen, this is something special & out of the norm. — 11 years ago
Like the beautiful wines that came with the warmth of 2012, this Pinot holds those characteristics in addition to Authentique's signature wine making as it should be instead of the mass produced stuff. If you like a Pinot that has character, aromas that are balanced alongside the oak mantra - this is a must. 2012 Pinots are a dime a dozen, yet this one reminds me of that elegant lady we remember for a long time afterwards. — 11 years ago
WNH Southern gathering hosted by @Mike R and old Heitz vertical (70,74,85) sourced by @Martin G Rivard (from Benchmark) who also contributed some on his own dime. This ‘70 started with a wet cardboard musty nose and a slightly hollow mid palate and astringent finish. As the evening evolved and the steak showed up the wine did a complete 180. More tannins than fruit but it was a structured beauty that may not be at it’s peak but is still a gorgeous wine. Ripe plum, stewed fig, bayleaf. I didn’t get any eucalyptus from this but there’s a strong earthy, old world with a CA spin vibe. After dinner and before the fire pit some of us finished the decanter of this and were impressed at how it was still ascending hours after being opened. — 9 years ago
Dime a dozen. Did improve with air though. Got to serve these bruisers cool — 10 years ago
went big tonight. Been saving this Abreu gem for the perfect moment, and I realized it's time to take the moment and make it perfect (and get it poppin!) Enjoying a gorgeous day almost exclusively outside, and this beautiful gem is complimenting a festive low country broil in our shady backyard. The first scent is a touch smoky, blackberries, licorice (maybe a little star anise?) - decanted two hours and could have gone longer. 'Wishing a very Happy Fathers' Day to all! Have a good week. Xoxo #dime — 10 years ago
