Delicious! Juicy and bright. — 3 years ago
Finally getting around to posting wines from my annual Napa trip from two weeks ago. Always goes by quick! Lots of fun new stops this year.
Theorem was one of our highlights last year, so we made sure a return visit was lined up this year. Base of Diamond Mtn with one of the most beautiful properties I’ve seen. Over the last 12 months, they’ve added a couple new wines (with more to come from Moon Mountain). TRB is the winemaker.
In the running for red wine of the trip. When visiting last year, I preferred the ‘14 (ripe, balanced, savory) over the ‘15 (more acidity, touch lighter, high toned)...this ‘13 takes the best of each and marries them. This is a classic high end TRB Cabernet from a stellar vintage. Truffles raspberries, candied black cherries, cocoa dusted mixed berry pie and graphite aromatics accompanied by sweet blueberries, freshly squeezed blackberries, toffee and espresso, baking spices, and fine grained tannins. Built like a tank. Superb. — 4 years ago

Quite dark colored. Young nose with fruits, spices, fresh grass and strength can be felt. On the palate it’s balanced between the fruit flavors and the oak well integrated by the way, long finish and no heaviness. Excellent (91) — 9 years ago
2011 vintage. $18 retail. Banging deal. — 10 years ago
51% traminer and 49% Riesling. Light pear and peach smell. Exceptionally smooth taste and finish. Slightly sweet and refreshing. — 11 years ago

Light nose, little tannins, smooth, blackberry, wood hints. Love it. — 8 years ago
Outstanding Cab. Shows why 08 Cali cab is way more cellar worthy than 07. Blackberry, cassis, blueberry tootsie roll, if there is such a thing. Asian spice, cinnamon, nutmeg notes. Fine grained with excellent grip. Wish I had more — 9 years ago

Might have lost its luster. Just not what I've expected from a cellar aged Cab from Hall. Gave it a 2 hr decant. Still has plenty of balance and structure. Just lost some of its fruit and luster. Medium finish. — 10 months ago
