Auf Fehmarn getrunken, an Weihnachten noch einmal. Gleich lecker — 4 months ago
Juicy berries, balanced with some earthy minerality. Good value play. — 12 days ago
2/2024. Drinks well. Fruit , nuts and tartness. Easy for me to drink. Very nice with salty potato chips. — 2 months ago
1/24 High marks. Wonderful earthy notes. In the sweet side. it is better oxidizing in the bottle so some of the sugarless subsides. Plenty of caramel, toffee, ripe fruit. Outside of the sweetness which can be cloying a solid 90. — 3 months ago
Translucent cold brew color, rather pungent citrus and roasted pecan nose. Yum already. Then medium sweet, deeply caramel more pecan on the palate. This wine feels like family and that’s not just my Austin-grandparent-pecan-picking nostalgia. It’s so friendly but capable of throwing you for a loop—how high is that alcohol? (19.5 abv)) but WHAT sort of kernel/nut elements are they and are they STILL judging where I went to school? These pecan-savvy questions fade as elegant smoky elements wave through to tell you it doesn’t matter so long as you graduated. It keeps you on your toes and keeps you looking towards more time together. — 4 months ago
Funchal, Madeira. Excellent - bottle — a month ago
Oceanic. Some smoke. Raisin and caramel. More like Madeira! Astounding length. Salty, biting. With almost a peppery bite on the finish. Tongue salivating. Perspiring. This heats up the body. Palate is perfect. Nose falls down a little- but this was from open bottle in enomatic so may not be the wine’s fault. — 2 months ago
Austin Hohnke
This wine deserves a lot more credit than I’ve afforded it in the past. Seabra is doing great things, and this is a wholly original Douro offering. Burgundian? — 18 days ago
