Yummy, reminiscent of honey dew without the sweetness. — 11 years ago
The cool 2011 vintage really helped preserve the acidity on this delicious wine, whose perfume is of grasses, bamboo, and an intriguing note of candied pineapple/guava. More of the same on the palate with very good body, excellent acidity, and a beautiful long finish. — 12 years ago
Delicious! Lots of flavor while still remaining a light and easy beer — 11 years ago
Moss and bramble on the nose. Gives the mental image of morning dew and spring foliage. In the mouth, tart acidity drives this wine with a pleasant herbaceous finish. — 11 years ago
Good balance between acidity, tannins and fruit. Fields in morning dew, with hints of crush fallen acorns and pepper in the nose. Pepper, blackberries and willow reed flavors. — 12 years ago
Thick and sweet like honey, slight hints of cinnamon and clove. — 13 years ago

Light sb style, with clean finish. Not too strong though, almost too delicate. Would be nice with a tiny bit more fruit (FYI--I am not a fan of NZ sb wines, they taste like licking the inside of a mountain dew aluminum can) — 11 years ago

Another anniversary, another bottle of '04 Champagne (not that I'm complaining). A unique Blanc de Blanc that has a color almost reminiscent of Mountain Dew (yes, that yellow). Biscuit dough, green apple, green pears and a flinty minerality greet the nose. Sharp acidity and a strong minerality flash through the palette, followed by candied apple and yeasty dough. The balance seems a bit off, but that doesn't take away from the sheer enjoyment of this Champ. The lingering finish will have you thinking about this wine long after you've sipped. — 10 years ago
