An absolute beauty. The perfume on this thing is exquisite. Violets, spicy pepper, and smokey bacon fat. Palate has a nice twist of funk at this early stage and ends with a solid tannic presence. I hate it when people use Burgundian to describe New World wine. But damn if this isn't the most Burgundian Pinot I've ever had from California. Dominated by mineral and earth and structure, with beautiful, quiet, well delineated fruit.
