Champagne Sténopé 2008 sports telltale braille on it's packaging, a giveaway that Michel Chapoutier has a hand in this particular bottling as well as Champagne Devaux. According to the winery, they never "discloses the blend," that said, it's the color of sun-bleached straw, with earthy overtones lending a serious edge to notes of lemon pith and white grapefruit that are present on the nose and palate. It's a precise, well-crafted Champagne, imbued with freshness and cradled in fleur de sel and chalky minerality. — 9 years ago

Dark fruit, spices and slightly floral on the nose. Supple mouthfeel and quite peppery in the mouth. Decent length with grippy tannins. Enjoyable now, but will wait a few years to open next bottle. — 11 years ago

The 2015 Côtes-du-Rhône Belleruche is a superb wine from Michel Chapoutier. Expressive floral notes give the bright red berry fruit flavors cut and lift. Beautifully delineated throughout, the 2015 is silky, polished and flat-out delicious. (AG) — 9 years ago
