This is a 2015, cab franc-dominated, entre-deux-mers Bordeaux. It is surprisingly fruity with blackberries and boysenberry aromas. A hint of rosemary, green bellpepper, and barnyard aromas add to the earthiness. The spice and acidity makes this a perfect wine to go with meat. Luckily, I paired it with a succulent peppercorn-encrusted petite tenderloin filet with portobello mushrooms and broccolini. What a great wine for $15 (coupon brings it to $12)!!! — 8 years ago

Merry Christmas to me! — 12 years ago
The nose is different. Much more woodsy and less fruit than I’d have imagined. The flavour profile was blackberry based and again, some wood. Some eucalyptus and green grass. Also some wet soil and cloves. The tannins weren’t a punch in the face by any means, but also haven’t haven’t completely softened as you might expect in a ten year-old. The palate was uninspiring as there was a watery-ness in the mid palate. I’m not sure whether this is over the hill or just not quite there yet and in a dumb phase? Will wait and see for the final two bottles. Solid, I guess. Not yet amazing. — 7 years ago

Bright red succulent fruit. Cassis, touch of tobacco but very subtle. Outstanding length of acidity, dusty dry tannins. Layers of flavours, with an impressive long aftertaste. 92+ points. — 11 years ago
Very fruity and aromatic. I like it. — 12 years ago
