Appetising full nose. Blackberries, dark red cherries, smoke and some sea salt on the palate. Although full bodied it has a light finesse, with elegant tannins and great balanced long finish. 9.0/10

Rich nose that suggests sweetness, full of stone fruit aromas. Dry on the palate though, with marzipan and nectarines. Not overly complex, but very Furmint. — 11 years ago
High-toned, lifted aromatics of red cherries and cranberries with noticeable, but pleasant grape tannins. This Demeter certified wine is no longer hiding in the shadow of Priorat! — 11 years ago
Savoury dry and rather ace — 11 years ago
Genuinely quite surprised. Got this from Hungary, endured a flight back so wasn't expecting much. But damn cabernet franc like its big brother! — 12 years ago

WOW. Compared to the Szpesy, so much more power and concentration. I agree with the waiter-- in contrast the Szpesy feels "lazy" (even though it's a great wine in its own right) — 10 years ago
