as close to perfection as a late-picked #Riesling (or any varietal) could possibly be!!!Absolutely sublime balance between sweetness and acidity that no doubt preserved it these past 70 years. Medium deep amber color with an aroma and flavors of caramel and coffee together with a hint of molasses...the finish lingered indefinitely...from the Fois gras course all the way to dessert--CRAZY GOOD!!! — 10 years ago

1969, birth year wine. Started incredibly savory, flavors like curry and charcuterie, very long, minutes; then the fruit came out, deep and complex. Brilliant wine, even if biased. Love old Reisling, and this one was epic. — 11 years ago
