1945 Deidesheimer Kränzler, #Beerenauslese, von #BassermannJordan:
as close to perfection as a late-picked #Riesling (or any varietal) could possibly be!!!Absolutely sublime balance between sweetness and acidity that no doubt preserved it these past 70 years. Medium deep amber color with an aroma and flavors of caramel and coffee together with a hint of molasses...the finish lingered indefinitely...from the Fois gras course all the way to dessert--CRAZY GOOD!!! — 9 years ago
Crazy color here, like a brownish yellowish color an just really really nice. — 10 years ago

Great wine. Very drinkable, fantastic on a warm day. — 10 years ago
Usually not a fan of drier wines, but this was a full-bodied, flavourful exception! After a few too many glasses, I described it as follows: "the flavour moves through my mouth and feels like the taste changes!" — 10 years ago
