Very fortuitous error at Smith & Wollensky -- this is not the Duckhorn Decoy. — 10 years ago

Bland testing that included this wine, Decoy, Freemark Abbey and Black Stallion. This cab was sweeter than the other three and it was not my favorite. It is drinkable. — 6 years ago
Very tasty, crowing pleasing. Very consistent, juicy, mocha. — 8 years ago
The wine is good and full bodied, but even better are the memories that go with it...Go Giants! — 10 years ago

Can't go wrong with this simple but tasty Pinot - not much sweetness here, which was pleasantly surprising. — 8 years ago
Dark as night in the glass with some purple hues, beckoning aromas of spice, clove and cooked red fruits--probably the most distinctive, inviting nose I've encountered in a SQN...layers and layers of deep flavors of expresso, beef tenderloin, sausage infused marinara and bay leaf (what?) that all rolls in to a sensational full, warm, lush, smooth finish. The weight in the mid palate had me prepared for some bite but I got exactly the opposite--a warm satisfying delicious Father's Day embrace. Happy Father's Day to me! This was a ridiculously transcendent CA Syrah moment for me. Did I mention I gave my Dad only a glass and hoarded the rest for my personal consumption....all the while tossing decoy wines at my in-laws. Sometimes greed is good--Gordon Gekko would have been proud. — 10 years ago
