13' Araujo Estate Eisele Vineyard SB. This was the first vintage that spent extra time in the bottle prior to release.

Palate- Classic citrusy notes -lemongrass, picking up some tropical notes of peaches. A plethora of stone fruits. Nice minerality throughout the palate. After it was open for about 30 minutes the crisp acidity softened a bit.

Complexed and very well-made SB. Not a problem enjoying the bottle on it's own. Pairing this wine with food… truly appreciate this SB. @Joe Lucca Kristen and I can't thank you enough for this sensational bottle of SB! Please say hi to Diane from the both of us. See you in April. — 8 years ago

We enjoyed an amazing dinner in his home this evening and opened these 2 beauties. Becklyn Reserve and a private propriety blend called "M" by Ted Mandes.

Opened well before it's hit it's stride. Sandalwood and rich dark fruits dominate .
On the palette, the tannins are not resolved. Superb flavors of blackberries, blueberries and jam compote float on an ethereal platform. Nice finish which finishes sweet. Leave this for another 5 years...

@Carl Fischer Christine knew that we would all get along as soon as you walked in with this beauty in New York earlier this year!!! It's one of her favorites!!! Truly A phenomenal example of a great Napa cab. This is firing on all cylinders. I still have a dozen left in my cellar and can't wait to see the evolution that they will take in the next 15 years. Winner, winner chicken dinner! Great minds think a like Carl! LOL we must've had 60 bottles of wine that night and I still remember Christine saying "I really like that wine" when you walked in the door with that bottle! I don't want to write a Facebook story but I need to get something off my chest - today was supposed to be about running my first 10k which I did and did my best - but today became much more - I lost my mom Friday in a car wreck - yes it was tragic for she was 79 years young - but she was an incredible mom - strong caring and always a big part of my growing up and values I have - I will miss her - all that said I dedicated the 10k race I ran to my mom - and I celebrate this wine and the next wine to her and the wonderful legacy (our family) she help create - rest in peace mom and thanks for the support from @Ron R @Martin G Rivard @David A Lentine @Joe Lucca and @Carl Fischer - by the wine was a wonderful tribute and had all four elements working correctly together - smell, taste, finish and balance — 8 years ago
