Tasted this at the Odette winery in May 2016 next to the Odette and the Cade Reserve and it didn't dazzle. But still a delicious cab. But wouldn't pay $120. Probably would pay up to $50-ish.

What a great Jumilla Monastrell Cab. A huge ripe fruit nose to start was a clear sign of a big wine. Love the full ripe fruit, plums, blackberries and pears and supple, soft mouth feel. Hints of cinnamon and nutmeg and a wonderful warm sensation last. Evolution of the wine over the evening continued to dazzle as the ripe fruit was reduced and turned into a very mature ripe fruit not as sweet with hints of leather, dark chocolate and mint. A real keeper!! — 10 years ago
Definitely a showstopper for Pinot Blanc! The long, slow, cool fermentation left incredible aromatics that dazzle, where Blanc is often shy on the nose. There's a kiss of residual sugar, but it works with the bright acidity & big scents to create a playful linearity. This isn't austere Pinot Blanc, this 5Q does the samba and is so sultry! — 10 years ago
A solid well made Pinot Noir which #IMO is highly over priced. An effusive flowery, berry scented nose, and just a bit of stank. The bright, vivid red fruits [think cherry, raspberry] are offset by vivid acidity. Sandalwood quietly plays bass in the background, while the silky, well integrated tannins dazzle and delight. The finish is sleek, but racy. Just because you paid more, it doesn't always mean you'll get more. #sample — 10 years ago

Marmalade on a tartar based biscuit, spruce trimmings, dried apples, hazelnuts and sprouted spaghetti squash. There is a dried mint note to dazzle. Three types of citrus vie for entry, pomelo, grapefruit and tangerine, but each recedes and ducks away to sour peach and old beeswax, kafir leaf, pencil, rosemary and dry oregano. Dry finish of resolute grace. — 9 years ago
Roasted leather notes dazzle the tongue as star anise tickles the taste buds. "It's fine, but wouldn't buy it on my own dime." — 10 years ago
Granny Smith skin, warm summer day grass and zippy acids that dazzle the taste buds. — 10 years ago
This was stiff enough to warrant using the decanter! Admittedly it is very young, but in an awful vintage, the early bird often gets the purple worm. Really a lovely animal. A funk blew off initially, revealing a rich, ripe perfume of cran-blackberry, red currant and violets. The pronounced fruit tannins were thick as a cloud of mayflies, but softened rapidly, to dazzle us with a fulgent array of bright crystalline plum and cinnamon, raspy vanilla and berry assortment, delicious earthy mushrooms and clean clay undulating lithely beneath a river of the aforementioned. Pretty, bright, no-nonsense, and elegantly muscled. Very sexy stuff. — 11 years ago
Personally my absolute favorite among the big boys. Never fails to dazzle with perfect balance all around. Delicate yet powerful. Beautiful fruit. — 12 years ago

Razzy dazzle and mineral zing. Lovely, but where'd you go? — 9 years ago
A great example of Viognier from Virginia, I was surprised to find nice minerality and brighter orchard fruits, medium bodied and deftly balanced, it finishes on a high note with a really nice beam of fresh acidity. Who knew Viognier could dazzle in this style, terroir from Virginia indeed on display here. — 9 years ago
Lovely! With all the Pinot rosè goodness anyone can ask for! — 10 years ago
"there is something about a brand-new Cornas that should not be missed. Muhammad Ali may have grown more savvy as he matured, but who can forget the young Ali, that dazzle and explosiveness?" — Kermit Lynch — 10 years ago

Julia's Dazzle. Pinot Grigio Rose. Delicious. Found at Costco. Will get more. — 11 years ago
Wow! Beautiful fruits like honeydew and ripe cantaloupe with a touch of white hyacinth, a memory of jasmine, and as pleasing as fresh sheets right after a shower. This brings a good weight and softer acidity, and a bit of residual sugar that brings out delicate lemon and kumquat zest. This wine realizes that less is more, and chooses to charm rather than dazzle with some other Riesling's tricks. Certainly worth a try. — 12 years ago

My current fave wine. Very saison beer style with quite a bit of strong yeast up front with a slight dazzle of fermentation on the tongue. This however IS NOT a Montepulciano-Abruzzo. It's actually Pianella-Abruzzo which is about 3 hours from Montepulciano-Abruzzo. This maker sells a Montepulciano-Abruzzo, this is not it. THIS IS SOMETHING QUITE DIFFERENT AND SPECTACULAR. — 9 years ago
