2006. 8yr old Zin from Lodi. This used to be a bruiser of a wine. Now it's quite balanced, nuanced, and at the end of its life. Very vegetal with green bean and English pea aromas, balsam, and tasting of an amalgam of stewed raisined cherry, black currant , oak, mushroom, and white pepper. 16.5%abv. — 11 years ago

We had the 2009 Vintage On 1/27-28/19. Tastes of strawberry, spice, clove, mushroom and underbrush. Short finish to this medium bodied wine. — 6 years ago
Nice garnet color, blackberry jam, orange, licorice and hints of cinnamon. Superb Pinot, smooth and gets better as it opens up. — 7 years ago
Fruity, smooth, pepper finish. Still opening up. — 8 years ago
so approachable. relatively light bodied and a little bit of spice hits right at the middle of the palate. my co-op was demoing this wine a few weeks ago and I've bought tgree — 9 years ago
Delicious red from Michael David. Inkblot 2011 Tannat. A rare grape variety that is truly luscious. Bold rich delicious! — 11 years ago
This is a monster! Was skeptical due to inability to find a wine I liked from Lodi, but this is legit: squid ink w/dizzying array of aromatics - impressive complexity & density. Yeah, might be over extraction here and trying too hard, but it is just flat out delicious: black/blue fruits, damp soil, black pepper, coffee, leather, etc. Towering chewy tannins dominate the mid palate-teeth staining stuff here and oh so generous. Finish is spot on and there is great balance here, just enough acidity from keeping your mouth glued shut. Pair accordingly. I picked up his Cab Franc as well — 3 years ago
An old standard in our household. Velvety smooth, rich juicy berries. Glad we can purchase Freakshow even at Costco in TX and have a solid, boozy Cab at the ready. — 3 years ago
Amazing Bordeaux blend. Very structured and balanced. Wine club from wine steward. Tries on 3-19-20 during Corona
