Was given this blind. Had olive notes so Syrah came to mind but it had a lot of Bordeaux character to it as well. I actually thought it may be some Mas des Daumas Gassac but this was so clean. Lovely wine. — 6 years ago

Drinking the 2014 in 2017. Golden color with light legs. Fruit forward bouquet with hints of green Apple, and pear. Light slightly sweet flavor with low tannins. Reminds me of a sauvignon Blanc — 7 years ago

Strawberry cream! Serious and complex, despite its lack of AOC status. Yet at just 11% it is fresh, elegant, and still maintains a fantastic creamy mousse mouthfeel. — 8 years ago

Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Tasted blind:

Med+ intensity, lots of black fruits, stewed cherries, cherry pie, underlying new oak, beginning to just show some tertiary character.

Palate was ripe, med+ tannin, med acidity. Similar flavors on the palate. A bit of black pepper and cinnamon. Good finish.

Initial conclusions were either a a high quality southern Rhone producer, possibly Languedoc (Mas Du Mas Gassac), perhaps a Minervois, an Italian super Tuscan (similar to 'Ornellaia), Napa (in a cooler vintage) and only was Bordeaux a final guess!

Guilhem Red 2014

I was pleasantly surprised by this rose. Quite dry and crisp with a slight fruity note. I typically drink dry white wines from Austria, New Zealand, and France. I picked this up on a whim but think I will go back for a case. Great mineral characters, maybe too acid for some, but great for a summer day for those who like acid Gruner Veltliners. — 9 years ago
