Grenache blend with Syrah and Carignan. Dark and brambly, lush, lavender, baking spice and black pepper, stewed prunes, mineral tannins. 45-yr-old, organically farmed vines. NY Times 20 under $20, Feb. 2020. From Flatiron Wines. — 5 years ago
Fabulous pinot noir to accompany our or of the ordinary surf and turf. Beautiful wine, on its own and with a meal. What a wonderful discovery! — 6 years ago
We had the 2009 Vintage on 9/7-8/18. The strawberry fruit is subtle. There was cardomom, mushroom and a nice spice. Truly Burgundian. Medium bodied. No tannin; smooth and ready to drink. — 7 years ago

Old reliable. Always one of my favorite Rhones. Heavyish-medium body, heavy fruit, medium tannin, great food complement, mouthy. Even drinks well alone & is friendly enough not to overpower cheese or light hors d'oeuvre. — 10 years ago
Tart, slight grass. Excellent with sourdough and seafood — 11 years ago
Huîterie Régis, Paris; Pinot grigio taste, light and dry — 12 years ago
A lot going on the nose. Red fruit, black fruit, meat, leather. Would be a good wintertime wine. Too bad they’re sold out at Kermit Lynch. Devin gave it 💯 — 5 years ago
I was curious about longevity of this wine. Popped and poured and just delicious. — 5 years ago
Dynamic floraly herbal aromas of green pear, starfruit, lemon, and green herbs. Wonderfully dry and just what I wanted tonight. Tastes like fruity green beans, crushed gravel, a hint of papaya and snap peas. Austrian gem — 7 years ago
Kath Lucas has a great pour. — 7 years ago
Breaktime from Xmas shopping with a refreshing lift from the Isarco Valley. Kerner is a personal favorite. With its lilting crisp acidity, white florals, honey, slate, and ripe green apple. Tiny bit of flabbiness which I'll chalk up to a bad vintage but makes up for it with a reasonably long finish. — 8 years ago
Incredibly fresh! Red fruit, slightly meaty and mineral. Such a crushable wine — 10 years ago

1990 vintage - stored always in the same cellar in optimal conditions, decanted before drinking - a great complex mysterious multiple layer aged Pinot, very earth and tertiary connected wine, with power and finesse in the same time - a great experience 😊 — 11 years ago
Love this wine — 4 years ago
Really solid. Polished and silky, but earthy and mineral and rustic too. Held up for days. Structured but not impenetrable; could age, but I didn’t eat the baby. Good work in a sloppy hot year. Bouland deserves more attention; I think he’s surpassing a few of the heirs to the gang. — 4 years ago
$45 bottle; was much lighter than other CdP, more like a Pinot. — 6 years ago
Summer. Celebration, too. — 8 years ago
First of Red Burg trio at Wallflower. Bigtime fruit with developing structure. This was my second favorite. — 11 years ago
Formerly De Meric, beautiful stuff, great mag. — 12 years ago

First on the nose was ripe stone fruits, peach especially. On palate, some minerality comes through and the mouthfeel from time on lees is delicious and creamy. Very long and pleasant finish. — 4 years ago
