Very smooth? Excellent! — 11 years ago
From a re-discovered ancient local grapes (tazzelenghe is the Friuli tipical slang meaning "tongue-cutter" due to its terrific tannins), this wine found its balance after aging 2 years in oak and several years in bottle. Red/black small fruits and sweet spices at the nose, powerful and fresh on the palate, with licorice and vanilla final flavours. — 12 years ago

Had 2009 vintage in Tokyo, was very unique and loved it. Powerful but soft. Ordered 2010 from vineyard as no more 2009. Still very good but not quite the same. — 11 years ago
