A lovely wine — 8 years ago
Unbelievably classic. The mushroom, truffle, and red fruit just dances and the acid and tannin structure is so interesting. Reminds me why I fell in love with Barolo! — 9 years ago

Could not stop drinking this. — 12 years ago
Decanted for 1.5 hours first - a little rough at first but opened up - tart cherries, ripe fruit, very round and smooth but tannins have a strong grip. Great with steak! — 6 years ago
Lemon meringue and chalk. Complete and satisfying, balancing freshness and savor. Riesling-like energy. Always one of the most sophisticated Chardonnays from anywhere in Italy. #grasso #piemonte #chardonnay #langhe — 7 years ago

Out of magnum. At first it was nothing special, but after an hour to open up it developed into something more structured and interesting — 9 years ago
Like! Pleasure. — 10 years ago
A wonderful "starting to get" mature Barolo, decanted for almost one hour, tannins are rounder than few years back and well integrated, a pleasure to drink, a full and deep Barolo with character, an expressive wine made of Nebbiolo - Honest expressions of the terroir of Monforte d'Alba, which generally produces a bigger, more tannic style of Barolo than those from La Morra or Barolo itself. — 11 years ago
Great wine $35 at Fredies. — 12 years ago

Black cherry, herbaceous and leather. Not lengthy but freshness from the light acidity. Pleasant drink — 10 years ago

Still youthfully dark in color with a very slight browning on rim. Upon opening still very tight and shy on nose. Decided to decant this for 3.5h prior our Christmas dinner and it started to open around 3h mark. Then it was a great Barbaresco from Treiso offering slightly darker side of Nebbiolo expression with ripe cherry, some leather and smoke, fine pepper notes. Healthy acidity and fine tannins offers solid back bone for further aging and development. I take this is 2-3 years from peak and should continue to drink several years after that. Glad I have 2 more bottles. This was a fabulous qpr back then at 23€/bottle — 5 years ago
