Rubicaia Sangiovese Blend 2016

Love this wine with one of my favorites menus when I am in Ica, (300 km south Lima), picante de pallares/ spicy Ica beans, with a sheet of milanese beef on top & some white rice, simply delicious! — 8 years ago

Da Vinci (Cantine Leonardo)

Riserva Chianti Red Blend

Vignamaggio

Monna Lisa Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2011

Vignamaggio Monna Lisa Chianti Classico. Had to try this because I am a big fan of Leonardo da Vinci. That usually doesn’t end well as a reason to choose wine, but this time it lived up to the name! It’s earthy on the nose with a juicy red fruit palate. Perfect for tomato sauce on pizza, or pasta. Deliciously smooth and full bodied. This wine is well worthy of the classic art on its label. — 7 years ago

Marchesi de' Frescobaldi

Riserva Ripe al Convento di Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2003

Picking the best year for a Frescobaldi Brunello is like having to choose between works of art made by Michaelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci; either way it will be a masterpiece. That said, the Reserva from 2003 is way up there among the masterpieces. — 11 years ago
