Viking cruise wine tasting. Bold and lingering. — 10 months ago
Classic amarone: Prunes, figs, raisins, dark chocolate notes with great firm tannins but still fresh and acidity. Brighter than other years but definitely a tasty wine that pairs well with steak or certain desserts. Definitely will try other vintages. — a year ago
Dry but lots of fruit. 1988 — a year ago
Things that stood out: raisinated stone fruit and leather. 2017 vintage, very much enjoyed with a spaghetti bolognese. — 4 years ago
Rich, sweet, over ripe cherries, jam, light amaretto, low in tannins, berry forward — 8 years ago
Great amarone, and actually not overpowering or overpowered. Had with steak at Chicago cut. — 10 years ago
v09. Really good!! Peppery, black cherry licorice nose. Round, rich, deep black cherry fruit. Smooth, long, slightly dry, soft chalk, white pepper and mocha finish. Nicely balanced, this what first time wine drinkers think wine should taste like! — 8 months ago
Turns out super well made Amarone is ideal match for Texas smoked brisket and ribs. Dense, layered and oh, so smooth. No clue where it’s hiding 17% alcohol. In a sweet spot with 30 minute decant. 🙏 @Michael Aronovici — 10 months ago
v15. Delicious! Dried herb and crushed blackberry grape nose. Fresh, rich, blackberry, soft plum and slightly tar fruit. Smooth dried herb, earthy, chocolate finish. — a year ago
Very good, consistent amarone. Review from 30 weeks ago is accurate. — 4 years ago
The most expensive bottle I have bought so far. Good balance light acidity and bright in strawberries and cherries. — 7 years ago
Took a while for this wine to open up after decanting. Once it did, chocolate flavors, muted cherry, with slight taste of baking spices. The Acidity helps smooth the hefty 16.5% alcohol content, but this is still a powerful wine. Burnt red color along the rim faded into deep crimson towards the middle of the glass. — 8 years ago
Smooth with notes of raisins. Wonderful bottle! — 11 years ago
Great with a roast dinner — 13 years ago
Consistenly good every vintage — 8 months ago
Took a flyer buying this from Benchmark. Bottle was in perfect condition, but sadly past its peak. Nose was outstanding - huge - chocolate, spice box. Had lost any acidity to balance the huge fruit. And at 17%, it kicked our ass. Would love to try a slightly younger rendition. — 9 months ago

First bottle was aged, second was good. It may have been the cork. — 5 years ago
Wonderful soft palate with notes of plum and blackberry. Some cherry on the front end with a hint of asphalt. Full mouthful of peach and grapefruit with undertones of almond, tobacco, pine, licorice, cardamom, red velvet, turmeric, oatmeal, cayenne, newspaper, Oreos, bicycle chain, chitlins, camembert, burnt umber, huckleberry, Ripple, plain yogurt, lemongrass, kohlrabe, anise, eggplant, kohlrabi, everything bagel, paczki, aspartame, caramel, coconut, latte, beef carpaccio, pine nuts, Wonder Bread, calamari, watermelon radish Jolly Rancher, aglet, sawdust, gnocchi and red grape. Finish is definitely Bruno Kirby. Pretty complex. — 7 years ago
