1999 was just amazing. Knowing that Cullen doesn't even make them anymore. — 8 years ago
Small champagne tasting at Edinburgh airport. Blanc de Blanc versus regular NV. The BdB was far better in every respect; finer, more rounded, though a little short. Full of crisp cold-pressed apple juice and fine prickly bubbles. A very food-friendly low-dosage wine that cut through the Cullen Skink perfectly! — 9 years ago
Whisky beer and cullen skink for lunch in Edinburgh !! Yum 😛 — 9 years ago
1999 vintage. 85% Cab Sauvignon 15% Cab Franc. Tawny rim. Classic left bank Bordeaux nose. Dusty, Bay Leaf, Geranium notes. Lacking some mid palate fruit. Was going to have an International taste off with Moss Wood Cullen and Dominus all from 1999. This super Tuscan would have lost out in this illustrious company despite its gorgeous nose. — 9 years ago

Continuing with the Langtons Classification tasting of the Best Australian Wines in the Outstanding Category. This Woodlands Cuvée always named after a Family member is their best expression of Cabernet. I have been buying 6 bottles every year since 2007. In the Wilyabrup dress circle over the road from Moss Wood and close to Cullen and Vasse Felix. Always one of the best in Margaret River. Just noticed @Delect Able that the 2010 is Heather Jean not ShelleyAnne. — 7 years ago
Incredibly delicious Chardonnay. I thought it was on par with Cullen and Leeuwin bottles, but 35% of the price. Amazing! — 8 years ago
Following discussion last week re Chablis @Ira Schwartz this 2005 Vaudesir Grand Cru showed very well. Nose of mineral/oyster shell with cut white flower notes. Restrained elegance with softening acids. Less is more! After 6 hours starting to show honeyed notes and not dissimilar to a top quality Australian Chablis style like Cullen Kevin John Chardonnay. Chablis is 2005 vintage. — 9 years ago
Vied for top Chardonnay at #matteroftasteNYC between the Paul Hobbs and the Cullen. About as good as it gets in the new world. Burgundy sensibility meets the new world. — 9 years ago
Flavorful, dry and oakey. Perfect for summer. Delicious! — 9 years ago

Beautiful nose : plum notes

Good experience!!! — 10 years ago
Lovely Cabernet expression, balance, weight and length. Acidity lets this one down but very enjoyable none the less. — 10 years ago
Aged well. Great nose. Doesn't get any better when you hold a bottle if you can. Enjoyed with Carter, Cullen and Kanet in MoTown for 61 BD — 11 years ago
Wow. Dense but lithe. — 11 years ago

Outstanding Chardonnay but a bit pricey! — 9 years ago
Wow; how maturing #margaretriver #chardonnay does vary; see recent #cullen #2009 which was brassy, this gleaming green and plenty of it; #cullen restrained, this #capementelle is butch; nose power of smoke or burnt things, bottle age nose not simple, evidence of lees/ mlf from the smoke; palate chunky, lime juice, burnt toast you taste in 30 yo Eden Valley riesling; juicy smoke; rich, not terribly drying, acid taut, 13%, AUD 35, full bodied, no apparent reason for it to fade for a while; contained power. #uncorkedandcultivated #wineandfoodtours — 9 years ago
Just a beautiful wine. Elegant but gutsy. Fruit still very much to the fore. Nice secondary flavours coming into play. A stunner with plenty of life ahead. — 10 years ago
Drunk without food, which is wrong for this wine. In a pretty good spot, beautiful nose of creamy oak, white flowers, grassy tones and lemon citrus. Piercing, racy acidity on the palate, which has a squeeze of barely ripe lemon softened by the oak influence. Assertive and fairly long, it wants time and food but has character and class. — 10 years ago
Lovely lightness of touch but with depth of flavour. Very classy stuff — 11 years ago
