Smooth and jammy. A consistently tasty product. Not a hint of metallic. Tried again after 15 years and was definitely impressed. — 6 years ago
Deep, dark red, cherry, vanilla and warm briar fruit aromas. Full and silky with spunky tannin kick on the mid palate. Juicy and jammy with a mild sweetness. Good with any meal.

Wow, in a very nice place right now, tannins completely gone. The Merlot softens the palate, but the Cabernet still dominates on the nose. Drinking probably at peak.

Gift from Erik and Brenna. Really good — 3 years ago
Deep Ruby with concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits and earthy floral spice. The palate shows rich blackberry and tart raspberry, complex, good acidity, balance and depth with ultra-smooth tannins. The long finish ended with an earthy and woody spice, cacao, and mushroom, very smooth. I am guessing that this wine is at its peak, so if you are lucky enough to find a bottle, get the corkscrew! — 4 years ago

Terlato's take on Chateau Margaux. Medium-bodied, well-balanced Bordeaux blend. — 8 years ago
Amazing quality for Bass Phillips entry level Pinot Noir. Nose with cherry/damp earth notes. Carrying thru to sour cherry on the palate. Good Pinot by any standards. 2010 vintage. Tasted again 29 January 2016. Notes as above. Always a pleasure to drink a Bass Phillip Pinot even if it is their 4th or 5th best cuvée. — 9 years ago

Classic Cabernet descriptors of Cedar, Tobacco, Red and black fruits and a herbal note. Lovely on the palate, drinking at its peak with excellent balance - smooth, fluid, resolved tannins. One could easily pick this as a Left Bank Bordeaux in a blind tasting. Shows more French restraint than the full blown Napa style for me. Medium + weight palate with balance and concentration. Probably my favourite Napa Valley Cabernet though admittedly I have not tried some of the big guns like Harlan. Post script: A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot. No Merlot was used in the blend for 2004. — 3 years ago
