Castello di Monteriggioni. Quite tasty. Nose of violet, lavender, and herbs with red fruit and some earth. The paper is finessed with lush tannins. Can use time. Maybe age worthy for 5-10 years, but very much drinkable now. Great with pork dishes. — 5 years ago

Dry muscat corse. Grassy but with notes of honey, lemon, and herbs. — 7 years ago
This is an amazing wine and it is one of my favorite ones to bring to dinners. It is robust tannic fairly big and opens very quickly. As a cousin to the zinfandel it shows as it is extremely drinkable despite it's large tannic quality. Elements of black fruit and pepper remind me of both the zinfandel and the Shiraz. Anyone familiar Shirah from the Rhone Valley should definitely give this one a try. The only thing I will say is that I enjoy it with friends and less you can finish the bottle by yourself. It dies fairly quickly. — 8 years ago

Very different wine. Tastes like you ran through a fruit flower field with your mouth open. You will not find another wine like this. — 7 years ago
Sea spray to blood oranges...kaleidoscopic! Grand Cru in weight and texture. Long, complex acid finish. One of my white wines of the year! #biancugentile #corsica #leccia — 7 years ago

The pizza wine to end all pizza wines? I think so. — 9 years ago
2010 - Transparent red as you might expect from a classy Etna Rosso DOC like this. Extreme coherence between nose and taste ends with an elegant red, supported by a perfect structure. A real bargain at €15 at the winery.

Wow, what a deal at < $20 / bottle
Wine spectator says #69 of top 100 of 2014.
A burly, brambly red, underscored by tarry smoke and underbrush notes, offering flavors of blackberry coulis, herb-marinated black olive, grilled mushroom and ground spice. This shows muscle that recommends it to short-term cellaring, made accessible by integration and balance. Drink now through 2024. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. #69 – 91 points — 6 years ago
Wrapping my head around this one. Co-fermented Sangiovese and Syrah. Had this two years ago while visiting the winery and honestly had forgotten what it was all about. It's surely intriguing. Soaked fruit, gamey, and chewy. — 8 years ago
