Classic dried cherry, tobacco etc. But always better when drunk in Italia.. — 10 years ago
Beef, berryfruit, mezcal smokiness, chamomile, underlying minerality. Unbelievable after 30 minutes in the glass. — 10 years ago
Dried raisin, licorice, classic Italia nose. Palette walks a tightrope between dusty and savory. Good length. Prime food wine. 2008 had a lot of life in it. — 11 years ago
Let's begin with one word: FRAGRANCE. Just back from Italia, I will posit that this deep-garnet siren is just about the essence of that famed land on ones nostrils. My olfactory is pleased, greets this cuvee: *ciao*. We get right to business, where smelling is concerned: how very red tea of you, Amore. How very cinar-esque you smell today. Is that chanterelle on your breath, cracked black pepper in your hair, gravel crunching warmly under your feet? Thought so, certo. Moving right along, we address that thing essential to all dancers, composers and clothiers: STRUCTURE. Yours is on the delicious knife-edge of acidic to too-acidic, tannic to too-tannic, in both cases falling on the right side of the blade. Your alcohol level is just warm enough, not hot, and your finish is somehow cool and lingering. You are a cool cat, balanced and self assured. But wait: there's more, because we didn't talk abt your other PERFUMES leaping from the glass and traveling lovingly to my olfactory: brown spice, astronaut strawberry, cranberry, purple flower. DOLCE & GABBANA/ we have, at last, your newest fragrance: La Dolce Susumaniello. Carry on! 🇮🇹 — 11 years ago
I just love this wine. Earthy and rich. Reminds me of a cafe in the country in Italia or France. Have this tonight with steaks from @hickorynutgap farm and zucchini . #wine #italianwines #italia #piemonte #minerva #vinno #ladolcevita — 11 years ago
Hat tip to the Italians for putting this Pinot in a Bordeaux bottle instead of a burgundy bottle. Pretty nice showing Pinot. — 12 years ago

Time to give Italy a go at it! This is a Chianti Classico Riserva, Felsina Berardenga 2009 Rancia from Siena Italia. The cork was very long and well preserved. The color has that light brown tinge in a deep purple base. The bouquet is smokey, mossy, and possesses aromas of fresh cut flowers. The initial palate is Black Currant (for real), blackberry, and oak. The finish is long with hints of oak, sour apple, Cigar, and leather. I highly recommend this one. Im not a fan of Chianti unless its a Reserva and this one I like!!

This a really nice wine! I drink each vintage and it's fairly consistent. I paired this Vermentino with an angel hair pasta, bathed in an infused truffle cream and mushroom sauce. All of a sudden my humble California abode felt like I was in Sardinia, Italia! Wine can do that! Isn't that why we love it? BEST with food, warm weather and friendships. Waxing poetic is easy after a few glasses of this beauty. And it's a value play! — 9 years ago

Light, crisp and delicious! Enjoying this with my sisters, brother-in-law, nephew and niece at North Italia in Phoenix. — 10 years ago
E questo è il piu degno finale di una qualsiasi degustazione . Metodo solera, ambrato scurissimo con l'unghia oro antico. Potresti solo annusarlo e non portarlo alla bocca per paura di rompere l'incantesimo. Frutta secca, scorza arancia, liquirizia, Vaniglia, spezie tante. In bocca si puo masticare tanto è denso, lunghissimo e balsamico. — 11 years ago
Extremely dry and tannic. Perfect for a romantic getaway in the dirty streets of Italia. Enjoy. — 11 years ago
Six months ago my wife and I toured through Italy. On our trip we shipped home some wines that we loved. Adda, the young lady that helped us in Florence, gave us this bottle as a gift. It's certainly not the best wine we shipped home, but it meant the world to my wife and I. Medium bodied with tart red fruit. Light tannins and lingering acidity on the finish. More important is the memory this bottle brought of our vacation and the kindness of Adda. — 11 years ago
This beautifully transparent red wine is made from Cabernet Franc. , once believed to be extinct in the northern Italian Alpine region of Valle d'Aosta.
Nice ruby color, aromas compact and juicy red berries are complemented by flavors of green pepper and cloves.
