Black as midnight, lovely structure, long finish, nice tannin (but not soft)...black currants, classic spice, dark fruit all over. The alcohol is quite forward in the nose. — 9 years ago
Cab, Syrah, Can Franc blend. Intense, oaky, smokey, white pepper. Had with grilled cheese. — 11 years ago
So so smooth and settled, fragrant and deep flavours that are subtle and very long and smooth. Had it after airing overnight — 7 years ago
2006 vintage still loaded with red fruit and good acid. The tannins were lush and balanced. Opened for an hour in decanter before consuming. — 9 years ago
This wine was suggested to me by a sommelier at Hawksmoor at Covenant Garden. It is celestial. Smooth and complex. Plum & raspberry notes. — 11 years ago
A supreme cali Sauvignon Blanc, great acid and minerality, and quite complex on top of that. — 8 years ago
08' Covenant Solomon Lot 70. This Cabernet was sourced from two of Leslie Rudd's vineyards Oakville/Mount Veeder. I'm guessing Mount Veeder to be Samantha's.
30 minute decanting . Color- Dark ruby red . Palate-Blackberry, second wave of blue fruits, chocolate, spice-box , smoky oak. This particular bottle it's just starting to show its true potential.
Edit- I'm finding that most 08's are very approachable now. — 8 years ago

Took this down last night with the bf and we both give it a thumbs up. It is purple-y fruity flowered and I believe was friends with an oak barrel at some point in its life. Seder-friendly, I’d think. All these kosher wines are making me crave haroset. — 6 years ago
