Beautifully rustic yet finessed, perfumed with lavender, violet, blueberries and gooseberries. Sweet overtones but pungent with tobacco, overripe capsicum, tomato leaves. Wonderfully well proportioned with integrated alcohol (surprised it was 14%) and just enough acid to be structured but not interfere with the elegant body. It's like an early drinking coquettish cousin of Nebbiolo! — 11 years ago
