1996 Duval-Leroy Fleur de Champagne 1er Cru Brut that is around 70% Chardonnay & 30% Pinot Noir from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Grand Vallee de la Marne, the Montagne de Reims and Cote des Blancs. Duval-Leroy's most famous cuvée and signature Champagne. This 1996 has great zing of acidity you expect with nice balance of a creamy body, nutty aromas, and slightly evolved flavors of bruised apple. It's funny how some '96s are still tightly wound. This was giving a lot right now in contrast. — 11 years ago
great Blanc de noir ! Treat this champagne like any of your delicate wine. Needs decant for couple hours to reach the peak. Still very young to drink , lots going on when drinking. — 11 years ago
