Raspberry and tannins on the boquet - big tannins that settles to a chocolate smooth finish. Really interesting - pair this with an appetizer. — 8 years ago

A more angular Napa cab, at first, but then opening up to those rich, dark fruits. Never quite hits the "plush" level, but pleasing all over. A good one to drink now or in 5-10 years. — 10 years ago
An excellent example of a lush, ripe Napa cab franc. Some green and earth in the nose, but dominated by fruit and spice with big dollop of oak. Well-integrated tannins with pomegranate and cherry, finishing with some cigar box. Well worth the price of admission. — 11 years ago
Cigar Zinfandel is an extremely dark wine, marked by blackberry and blueberry fruit on the nose and palate. The aromas strike me as being a little muted, especially for a Zin. Some savory smoke and tar aromas open up as the wine does. As telegraphed by the name, the smell of cigar box also works into the profile. The flavors are dominated by bold fruit, but a touch of oak spice and black pepper wraps that up in a pretty bow. Tannins are firm and useful, if you happen to have a pork chop or a lamb shank laying around. — 7 years ago
Excellent. Medium body. High alcohol. Vanilla, flowers, almonds. — 8 years ago
Everything in tune here. Beautiful nose. Great fruit and earth. Soft tannins. Reminiscent of some great South American Bordeaux blends I've had with that hint of bandaid on the nose. — 8 years ago
