Very mello and flavorful. A little sweet, but that can be a nice break. — 7 years ago
Post tapas in Vegas — good stuff — 8 years ago
Bright on the tongue with round feel that quickly melts away. Soft bitter aftertaste that would not do well with sweet but would be great for salty pairings. This is a freestyle rumba on the beach at a strangers wedding. Thoroughly enjoyable party without all the stress of having to socialize. Party drink. — 9 years ago

Dulce. Como buen cosecha tardía. — 10 years ago
What a nice surprise! Old world style garnacha, with tight tannins, white pepper, assorted spice (cardoman notes), and no excessive fruitiness. Really great value, the way Spanish wines used to be before the imports all became new world style fruit bombs. — 6 years ago

Baron De Ley Finds Monasterio, Cosecha 2003, Rioja. Bought before 2013. Probably around $40. Waited too long to drink. Was still very rich, with strong tannins. The fruit flavors were still there. Way too much sediment. Had to decant through coffee filter. — 8 years ago

Delicious! Strong notes of vanilla and berries. Goes very well with pasta dishes, game meat, casseroles, and red meat, of course. — 10 years ago

Delicious BDX. Rating affirmed 8/17/23. Kermit Lynch imports never disappoint. And the 15 vintage doesn’t either. Great value. — 6 years ago
Second and last of the blind white wines for our South African blind tasting. Relatively new to the US-DC market and brought in by Alyssa and Ian Red Wolf Imports. Made up of 100% Chardonnay, 100% barrel fermented and aged for nine to ten months in around 20% new French oak.
Medium yellow with a touch of oak and butter on the nose. A little bit of citrus too. Medium plus acidity (6.5/10) and rounded with a medium body. A creamy texture and mouthfeel throughout with notes of lemon zest, a touch of stone fruits and minerality. Needed to warm and some time in order to open up and lengthen. Medium plus to long finish. Would be very interesting to try with a couple years in the bottle. Drink till 2026. (92+) — 8 years ago
Nice blend that goes great with BBQ. — 9 years ago
Such an awesome bottle of wine. Still shows signs of youth with fruits that bounce off the nose and incredible color. Awesome bottle of Rioja! — 9 years ago
