French oak. Smells like my grandma's toaster and she stuck a mixed berry Jane in and it was burnt. High acid, medium heavy body, bold oak that still gives you that kinda low sugar berry pie that's been in the oven for a bit longer than needed with muted fruit and a meatier kinda body. Fun wine. But get it with some food. — 9 years ago

Beware the Amarone. Severely addictive. Starts off amazing and becomes something otherworldly after several hours. Open early and drink slowly. Give it time. See what happens. — 8 years ago

A classic Amarone. Soft tannins, a hint of oak. A sweet bouquet. Very jammy. — 10 years ago

Exceptional! The deep fruits nicely mask the high alcohol (16%). Well balanced. Not to sugary. Can probably drink now and for another 10 years. — 11 years ago
