Paired with Cornish Hen and generously topped with white truffle. — 8 years ago
Bought this after having been blown away by the 2012 Cornish point from Felton road. Quite a bright red colour with an interesting bouquet of dark chocolate and fig (musar-esque). To taste there is plum, cherry and a little of that fig again bringing some savoury sweetness. A smooth and soft wine, without the acid edge you often get with Pinot noir. Not as sophisticated a wine as the Cornish point but very much quaffable. — 8 years ago
A wonderfully perfumed Pinot with new world brightness balanced by old world sensibility. Rounded red fruits shift throughout the palate - red currant to cherry - with a little earth and a bit of spicy licorice! Smooth tannins and good acidity make a nuanced but vibrant wine. It was heartily enjoyed with Cornish game hen with thyme and Herbes de Provence. — 9 years ago

Good sweetness. Granny Smith in the blend bringing some acid. Still fairly structured. — 9 years ago

Very nice with Cornish hens on the grill — 7 years ago
Sweet tart with notes of blueberry and a hint of nuttiness ( almond?). Delicious. — 8 years ago
Clear maroon colour with gentle strawberry and raspberry bouquet. Nice and well delineated red berry taste (with dark cherry notes) if a little jammy. Classy and smooth but on balance I find the less restrained and more mouth-filling Cornish Point a more satisfying wine and better value. — 8 years ago
Clean and crisp and good with fish! — 9 years ago
My favorite cider. A sweeter cider but well balanced and slightly spicy for an overall great flavor profile. Their Saskatoon cider is great if you are looking for something a little sweeter and more unusual. — 9 years ago

Petrol and pineapple. Dry to the point of being austere. Delicious — 8 years ago
This is another wonderful wine from SanAntonio Winery in California. This Opaque 2010 Malbec. The cork was perfect. The color is obviously opaque with a rim of purple. The legs are long and thick. The bouquet is reminiscent of violets and ripe fig tree orchards. The initial palate is blackberry and raspberry, rhubarb pie. The finish is moderately long with a hint of sour apple and butter. There is no dryness and it is rather light in character. A beautiful ending to a beautiful wine!

Saved the best last! Wine of the night, but not by a large margin. Great nose, bold blackberry and cherry notes, with a delightful finish. Goes exceptionally well with Cornish Hen! — 9 years ago
